Mud Bog, Horse Races,Drag Racing and the Easter Bunny

Here is a pic of the pansies I bought at Walmart the other day. Hopefully I can make them last a while.

I have had a busy weekend but I'm not complaining....Friday I went to a mudbog. That is my usual Good Friday celebration. That was fun watching everyone trying to make it to the end of the hole but not many did. I saw a few friends I hadn't seen in a while so it was fun to catch up with them. I also spent time with some of my peeps and I'm so glad I went because without me I think they would have been lost. They teased and picked on me about any and everything.

After the mudbog we went to the Tribal Center and hung out. The tribal center is a multi-purpose building my tribe has to hold parties, weddings, pow wows, etc. They also give us permission to hang out under "the tree". The tree is just a big old tree in the middle of the parking lot where everyone just hangs around. I stayed up there way too late but it was fun.

Saturday morning I went to Strawberry Hill Races and it was miserable. I've been going for 6 years and this was the worst year due to the weather. It usually rains anyway but this year it rained, the temperature dropped and it was windy. We had 2 hours of good weather and after that it was time to break out the coats and jeans. Yes, I pack a bag wherever I go because you never know how the weather is going to be so I pack extra clothes, shoes, make up,hair products just in case. As usual I need to resort to my bag. I still had fun but would have had more fun if I could have actually walked around and saw some of my friends but it was way too cold.

After I got home I decided I hadn't had enough of the cold so I went to my cousin Daniel's land. Daniel aka Bozo and his wife Traci are building a house and on there property they decided to get a few people together and have a demolition type derby and then the fellas decided to drag race in their mud bog trucks. After dark I went to another cousins house and hung out in her and her husbands garage with the same crew I was with on Friday. Needless to say the torturing/teasing continued. We sat around and told jokes, picked on each other and listened to some good country music. I also stayed there late and am tired this morning.
Today is going to be spent catching up on laundry, cleaning my car out and spending time with family. Yes I do like to spend time with my family. I have some very good friends and am thankful for them but an also glad for a large, loving family. Friends may come and go but your family is always there. I didn't get any pics of the mud bog, horse races or the drag racing so hopefully next time I'll do a better job .
I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Easter and gets to their destinations and back home safely. My goal for today is to try not to eat so much since I am doing Weight Watchers but I absolutely love turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy.
Hope the Easter Bunny was good to everyone:)
