It's official.....4 1/2 months until pre-season football!!!!Yes I know it's crazy but that is my absolute favorite sport. I wish it lasted all year. I love the spring and summer but there is nothing better than a crisp autumn day watching football in your favorite stadium. Mine would be my Virginia Cavaliers playing at Scott Stadium. I've been going to football games since I was a little girl. A few years ago I gave my Dad the best father's day present...other than me. It was season tickets to the UVa football games. So we go to every home game. It's usually Dad and I that go or sometimes mom goes but we only have 2 tickets. I think all this talk about football was prompted by this past weekends NFL Draft. Yes, I watched some of it. UVa had quite a few players drafted. We actually had more than Va Tech. If you don't know, that is the most intense rivalry in the state of Va. Either you like one or the other. People west of Charlottesville and more towards Roanoke like Tech and everyone else is a Cavalier fan. I contribute most of the "mountain folks" to liking Tech because of the elevation and compressed air that they aren't thinking clearly!!!
My Steelers got quite a few good picks to. I'm glad they didn't trade my boy...Heath Miller. He is the reason I'm a Steeler fan. He got drafted a few years ago from Uva and I just followed him especially since he started his first year. After that I just got to know the players and their playing styles and finally decided I guess I'm a Pittsburgh fan. I would check their scores/stats etc. It's crazy because I don't think many females like football like I do. My guy friends are always amazed that I keep up with who is traded to what team. I'll call them and say what is wrong with your team trading so and so for this person and they hadn't heard the news yet. Most get the impression that I am very girly..which is true but I also like boy stuff too. I guess that is why I have alot of friends that are boys. When I was a teenager that's all I did was hang out with 3 other guys my age. We were together every weekend and they taught me how to drive a 5 speed!!!
This weekend was beautiful. It was 90 degrees here but not as humid as it usually is. I've been doing homework. I'm trying to finish my class up a little early so I can have some down time. I have 1 assignment and an exam left and I'll be done for this semester!!!!It hasn't been to bad but it's math and my brain just doesn't process math too well. I've gotten better but I get flustered when I see a bunch of numbers. This won't get in my way of being a nurse.
Tonight I went to Burlington Coat Factory with my BFF Michelle and we had some retail therapy. I just looked but she bought some clothes for work. After that we went to Arby's and came home. We hadn't had a retail therapy session like that in a while. She got some really good deals. I saw a few shirts I liked but I really don't need any more clothes. I have a closet full and don't wear half of those so I'm trying to wear everything. I've got a new system in my closet to see what I wear and don't wear. I'll post that tomorrow!!!Hey I gotta do something to keep you coming back for more:)
