Crazy Friday

This is Katie...since I am an only child she is like my little sister. I had to pick her up from school today. She is a junior at St. Gertrude's High School. Home of the "Gertie Girls"!

Traffic was crazy on the way to pick her up and I found out why.Today is the pick up for tomorrow's Ukrop's 10K race in Richmond and the place to pick up race packets is on the way to her school. They had police directing traffic and it was a mess. On the way back we decided to take the "scenic route" and just drive through town to the interstate. It was like a scene from a movie when the world is coming to an end.......the sky was dark and cloudy, sirens were coming from everywhere and cars were all over the road. It was just the fire trucks trying to get to a fire but it was kind of crazy.

So on the way home we passed the "Club Velvet" hummer. Club Velvet is a gentlemen's club in town and they ride around in this hummer I guess trying to promote business and recruit employees. I told KT that it had a siren and a bull horn....the only reason I know is one night I was downtown clubbing and they pulled the siren on me.Anyway I beeped the horn and they put the siren on KT and I. I told her she was all ready because she had on her school uniform. I could be her manager and she could be the performer!!!Yeah I was just playing but it was a lot of laughing and I will probably have a bruise on my shoulder in the morning where she hit me. Just some of the fun times I have with my KT.

Tonight I'm going to the "Hunt Club" and sell some food and hang with some of my peeps. It always turns into a good time but the weather doesn't look too promising. Why can't we just have a weekend where it is nice and the sun is actually shining?This weekend they are calling for rain/thunderstorms.....that has put a damper on my plans. This weekend is the annual "Shuck N Pull".It's an oyster roast and lawn mower race.Yeah I told you I was from the country. I always go with my best bud Michelle and it's our annual event. When this comes around it means Spring is officially here and there are many more events and good times in store. Well it looks like it's going to rain and I'm not going because you just can't look cute in the rain especially with my curly hair. Yeah I know people who would die to have curly hair but I prefer mine straight so I straighten it pretty much every day!!!I think it's a more polished look:)
